About The Position

This role is for a Behavioral Health Technician at the Ascension St. Vincent Stress Center in Indianapolis, IN, within the Adult Psychiatry department. The position is full-time, working days from 7 am to 7:30 pm, with a schedule that includes every third weekend and holiday rotation. The technician will provide direct behavioral health patient care, assist patients with daily living activities, and perform or assist with diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions. Key responsibilities include observing and recording patient behavior, reporting changes in condition, and suggesting treatment plan modifications, as well as establishing therapeutic relationships with assigned patients.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Bachelors degree in psych or similar area of study or 2 years of experience in psych setting

Nice To Haves

Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities
