Colonial Behavioral Health is growing and seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for its new Center for Support and Wellness, which will provide compassionate and immediate care to individuals experiencing behavioral health and substance abuse crises. This center, opening in the fall, is 14,000 square feet. The Crisis Receiving Center operates 24 hours a day, serving adults in mental health crises with assessment, crisis intervention, care coordination, and peer support. The Behavioral Health Technician will provide collaborative behavioral health services, supporting screening, admission, orientation, care coordination, and health literacy education. This role is crucial for providing supervision, monitoring, and direct care, including milieu management, de-escalation, skills training, and collaborating with the treatment team to implement Individual Service Plans and support recovery goals. The position is also essential for maintaining the health, safety, and human rights of individuals receiving crisis services.
