About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers dedicated to setting new standards in addiction treatment through evidence-based clinical curriculum and individualized care. The company offers programs including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) role is crucial to managing daily residential operations, ensuring client engagement, and maintaining a positive recovery environment. This position is located at Avenues Recovery Center at Lake Ariel, a 40-bed residential facility in the Poconos mountains, providing detox and inpatient rehabilitation services with round-the-clock supervision and care. The center fosters a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental atmosphere with a dedicated staff of therapists, clinicians, nurse practitioners, addictions counselors, and BHTs.

Requirements

• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.)
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures
