Behavioral Health Technician (Independent Contractor)
About The Position
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for its Pocono Center. This is an Independent Contractor position providing services in the community. The BHT will implement individualized behavioral intervention plans for children and adolescents, assisting them in developing age-appropriate behaviors and coping skills. Services are not a substitute for primary caregiving and the BHT must be supervised by a parent, teacher, or primary caregiver. The service area includes Carbon, Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne counties in NEPA. The Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults and children with developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Human service experience working with children, adolescents, or adults preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct services and support, in the child's home, school or community setting
- Implements the interventions outlined in the treatment plan
- Assists the child in developing age-appropriate behaviors and coping skills
- Offers support and transfers appropriate interventions to the child or caregiver
- Complete necessary data tracking
- Attends weekly supervision
