This is an essential role in the delivery of residential and outpatient treatment services. As a direct care position, you will interact with and supervise clients in treatment, assisting both clinical and administrative teams to identify and serve client needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health preferred.
  • Experience facilitating process groups and family sessions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the intake process for new clients into the program.
  • Communicate with staff verbally or via written communication logs; responsible for detailed client logs.
  • Listen to clients regarding all areas of treatment and maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate activities such as lectures, recreation, and meetings.
  • Conduct mandatory bed checks as required and complete bed-check sheets for shift reporting.
  • Attend shift changes, team meetings, and company meetings.
  • Ensure the client schedule is followed daily.
  • Assist with client interventions.
  • Follow treatment plan objectives.
  • Monitor the medication line.
  • Transport clients to meetings and recreational activities.
  • Conduct searches of clients upon their return to the facility.
  • Monitor treatment for necessary hygiene and medical needs.
  • Uphold therapeutic boundaries and adhere to the staff code of ethics.
  • Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide input.
  • Distribute client snacks as needed.
  • Train new staff on the unit, program, and milieu.
  • Help maintain the facility.
  • Assist clients in obtaining sponsors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
