About The Position

Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) at Oakwood Springs is a full-time position with a 3x12 schedule, working from 7am to 7pm. Oakwood Springs is part of Lifepoint Health, a healthcare network committed to employee well-being and providing exceptional care. As a Behavioral Health Tech, you will support the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN, ensuring the schedule/program is delivered, patients are supervised, safety is maintained, and patients and guests are treated with respect and dignity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Will require valid driver’s license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required
• Where applicable, must obtain and maintain agency affiliation

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a psychiatric health facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
