About The Position

The person in this position will provide direct supervision of clients ensuring the safety of all residents, model appropriate behavior, and compliance with program rules. Daily routine care and supervision will fall mainly to the Behavioral Health Technician. This role involves monitoring client activities, transporting clients to appointments, completing documentation, monitoring medication, stocking supplies, sorting mail, submitting reports, updating the client data system, and utilizing crisis intervention techniques. The position operates under the supervision of the Program Manager and requires embracing the mission, vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.

Requirements

Possess a valid Florida Driver's license and be eligible for continued coverage under WestCare's insurance policy preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with clients in a residential setting preferred.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test, pre-employment physical and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Monitor client chores, sign in sheets and curfews.
Transport to community appointments such as medical, dental, school, as needed.
Complete support documentation and daily notes for assigned clients.
Monitor clients taking medication and medication counts.
Stock all office, kitchen and bathroom supplies.
Sort mail and file daily paperwork.
Submit write ups, incident reports and shift reports.
Update and monitor CDS (Client data system).
Utilize crisis intervention techniques to assist with de-escalation of situations ensuring safety for all.
Work under the supervision of Program Manager.
Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
