Our Behavioral Health Technician serves in a direct care role with the primary responsibility of interacting with and supervising clients in treatment. Located in Harford County, Maryland, our Joppa Inpatient program provides treatment paths for both men and women for substance use disorders, methamphetamine and other stimulant use, and co-occurring disorders. Additionally, it has a methadone maintenance program for opioid addiction. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the intake process with new clients entering the program.
  • Maintain client documentation.
  • Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable.
  • Coordinate client activities.
  • Follow treatment plan objectives and address client-specific needs.
  • Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients, providing appropriate responses, including crisis intervention.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
  • Assist with clients' dietary needs.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
