About The Position

Behavioral Health Technician (Direct Support Professional / Behavioral Health Associate/Youth Mentor) at Calo Programs supports youth overcoming trauma and emotional challenges. This is a year-round, full-time opportunity in a nationally recognized residential treatment program that combines clinical care with experiential therapies like hiking, art, music, and yoga. The role involves building meaningful relationships with students, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being, leading daily routines, attending therapy groups, and participating in engaging on- and off-campus activities that promote healing and personal growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Age 21+
  • Ability to pass background checks and physical

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in residential care or with at-risk youth preferred
  • EMTs and those with first responder backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Support youth with daily routines, hygiene, chores, and personal development
  • Engage in group therapy and team-building activities
  • Ensure a safe, structured, and emotionally supportive environment
  • Implement treatment strategies alongside clinical teams
  • Maintain professional boundaries while offering genuine mentorship
