About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for weekend work at its network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers. The organization provides evidence-based addiction treatment through detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient programs. The role manages daily residential operations, supports and trains the BHT team, and helps maintain a positive recovery environment while ensuring compliance with Avenues policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
- Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- For applicants in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
- Train and support the Behavioral Health Technician team in operations and responsibilities.
- Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
- Oversee client engagement and morale and maintain a warm, positive recovery environment.
- Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
