About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to support patients with mental health needs in a clinical setting. This role involves working closely with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety, provide emotional support, and assist in implementing treatment plans.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism
- Knowledge of patient safety practices and behavioral health protocols
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
Responsibilities
- Assist in the care and supervision of patients with behavioral health conditions
- Monitor patient behavior and promptly report changes to clinical staff
- Provide emotional support and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
- Support patients with daily activities and interactions
- Follow established safety protocols and facility guidelines
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Accurately document patient activities, observations, and incidents
