This role is for the Charlotte Hall Drug & Alcohol Residential Treatment Center, located at 3000 Lottsford Vista Road, Bowie, MD. The Behavioral Health Technician (PRN) is responsible for completing the intake process with new clients, maintaining accurate client documentation, observing and documenting client self-administration of medication, coordinating client activities, following treatment plan objectives, and addressing client-specific needs. The technician will also evaluate clients' behavioral and emotional needs, providing appropriate responses including crisis intervention, and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment. Assistance with clients' dietary needs and other assigned duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

Behavioral health or general healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete the intake process with new clients entering the program.
Maintain accurate client documentation.
Observe and document client self-administration of medication, as applicable.
Coordinate client activities.
Follow treatment plan objectives and address client-specific needs.
Evaluate clients' behavioral and emotional needs, providing appropriate responses, including crisis intervention.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
Assist with clients' dietary needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
