About The Position
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in the Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) department provides direct behavioral health patient care. This part-time role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, participating in diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions, and observing and recording patient behavior. The technician will establish therapeutic relationships with assigned patients and report any changes in condition, suggesting modifications to the treatment plan.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative relevant experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral health patient care.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living.
- Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
- Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
- Report any changes in condition and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
