Behavioral Health Technician (FT Weekend)

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work 1st shift with required Saturday and Sunday availability
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, healthcare, or residential care
- Experience facilitating groups or working in a therapeutic environment
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Welcome and orient new clients during the admissions process
- Monitor client safety, behavior, and overall well-being throughout the shift
- Provide support and encouragement while promoting a therapeutic environment
- Facilitate groups, recreational activities, and daily programming
- Assist with medication line, room searches, and safety checks
- Complete accurate documentation, shift reports, and required observations
- Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and established protocols
- Encourage client participation in treatment and recovery activities
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality
- Assist with housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Communicate effectively with nursing, clinical, and leadership staff
- Assist with training and mentoring new Behavioral Health Technicians as needed
- Perform other duties that support quality client care and daily operations
