We are looking for a Recovery Behavioral Health Technician who will work closely with clients to determine their rehabilitation needs and to provide individualized treatment by providing structured as well as holistic healing. Supports clients with foundational well-being that develops the skills needed to overcome, heal & grow to sustain long-term sobriety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of addictions field and treating substance use clients

Responsibilities

  • Observe all client activity and maintain visible presence of the clients at all times.
  • Maintain excellent reporting skills on client whereabouts, any and all issues that arise and basic needs while on shift.
  • Make sure clients are attending their clinical hours and getting the help they need to obtain long term sobriety.
  • Establish positive relations with clients regarding boundaries fostering Epiphany Wellness core values.
  • Implement client safety at all times.
  • Collect observed urinalysis and breathalyzer from clients on a daily basis to ensure sobriety.
  • Observe and report client interactions, concerns and activity with shift report, and emails.
  • Adhere to client scheduling and outside appointments as needed following safe driving laws.
  • Collaborate with the medical department regarding client medical needs.
  • Complete client rounds throughout shift and reporting with correct documentation.
  • Transporting clients to and from appointments and clinical groups. Ensuring Epiphany’s driving policy is being followed.
  • Building positive relationships with clients and staff.
  • Crisis intervention included but not limited to client altercation (verbal or physical), relapse, behavioral issues.
  • Searching client belongings upon intake, vehicles as assigned by BHT Supervisor.
  • Reporting Suicidal Ideation and Homicidal Ideations of any and all patients.
  • Performing Breathalyzers on clients as assigned. Reporting any reading over 0.00 to on all supervisor.
  • Performing urinalysis as assigned, reading urinalysis results on a 12 panel and reporting and recording in appropriate documentation as well as to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Completing client intakes and discharges.
  • Facilitating client rules and responsibilities and reporting non-compliance to supervisor.
  • Clinical support and acting liaison between client needs and clinical communication.
  • Fostering a safe environment for clients.
  • Observing, logging and reporting all applicable medications and medication issues.
  • Accompanying clients on activities and assisting with life skill education and development.
  • Completing shift notes at the end of each shift for tasks completed and client interactions.
  • Communication through BHT chat regarding client whereabouts, rounds and transportation.
  • Maintaining center cleanliness and completing checklist when on shift.
  • Holding clients accountable for meeting and clinical attendance.
  • Completing incident reports in real time for specific incidents.
  • Attending monthly BHT staffing meeting and monthly individual supervisions with supervisor.
  • Completing ongoing trainings through Epiphany’s online platform.
  • Demonstrates adherence to JCAHO standards, federal, state, and local regulations, licensing, and accrediting agencies.
  • Leads in the execution of the organization's mission and vision.
  • Maintains compliance with Ongoing Training, HIPAA regulations, Joint Commission policies, as well as state-specific requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
