About The Position

We are seeking a behavioral health technician, or "Counselor's Assistant," for our all male facility. This programming staff position entails supporting and supervising our clients, and working alongside in providing support service to the clinical team treating our adolescent clients who have mental health and substance use issues. Our team culture is incredibly creative, supportive, and our staff, above all else, is deeply committed to helping the clients and families that we work with. All responsibilities will fall under the core functions of providing client supervision and supporting client participation in services. Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures, but employees are expected to exercise significant initiative and independent judgment in carrying out their duties.

Responsibilities

  • Escorting clients to/from various appointments and sessions.
  • Assisting with activities and engaging with clients as they progress through their recovery.
  • Assisting counselors and therapeutic team.
  • Documenting relevant information regarding the client’s activities.
  • Facilitating UA's.
  • Observe and record patient behavior.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Administer and record client medications.
  • Help with daily living activities.
