About The Position

Centerstone is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician I to join their dedicated team at the Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Kirksville. In this vital role, you will provide supportive, trauma-informed care to individuals in residential and withdrawal management programs. You will monitor client well-being, assist in crisis response, support daily activities, and help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment
Knowledge of confidentiality laws in behavioral health
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interpret safety and procedural documents
Basic math and keyboarding skills
Ability to navigate electronic medical records
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and rapport with clients
Must be 21 years old

Responsibilities

Provide supervision, monitoring, admission, transfer, and discharge support for clients/patients
Monitor and document vital signs; escalate concerns appropriately
Oversee and accurately record medication administration
Manage OTC medications and maintain medication inventory
Document and track blood glucose levels; maintain related equipment
Conduct supervision and safety checks in accordance with established plans and procedures
Assist clients with personal care needs (bathing, grooming, dressing) as required
Promote a therapeutic, safe, and respectful environment at all times
