Behavioral Health Technician-Overnight
About The Position
The Behavioral Health Technician I provides direct and supportive care to clients and patients. The role includes monitoring daily activities, responding to crises, facilitating group education and structured activities, and providing transportation as needed. Technicians understand and follow client treatment plans, document behaviors, and maintain a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment. The position is full-time and overnight in Saint Charles, Missouri, within Recovery Services. It is part of the treatment team and includes supporting program rules and medication policies, assisting with admissions and orientation, and educating clients and patients in daily activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of responsible employment.
- Understand the client's/patient's treatment plan and document behaviors.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate as an integral member of the treatment team and assist in identifying client strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
- Carry out additional requests from the supervisor.
- Ensure adherence to program expectations and rules, and report behaviors to supervisors to support effective therapeutic interventions.
- Follow medication policies and collaborate with trained nursing staff to ensure compliance, whether medication is administered by the client/patient or a PFH associate.
- Assist with admission and orientation, including obtaining vital signs if applicable, conducting safety searches of clients/patients and belongings, and collecting necessary urine or lab specimens for testing.
- Assist and educate clients/patients in performing daily activities as needed.
- Provide transportation support for clients/patients as required.
