Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or criminal justice with no previous work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in any other field with at least 1 year of full-time paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescents.
  • Associate's degree or 60 credits toward a bachelor's level degree with 3 years of full-time paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescent.
  • Licensed practical nurse with at least 3 years of full-time paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescents.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task list as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BC-ABA.
  • Must have a driver's license.
  • Appropriate background checks.
  • Transcripts of their degree.
  • Clearances to work in direct contact with children and adolescents (ACT 33, 34 and FBI clearances).
  • Ability to participate in Medicaid and Medicare programs.
  • Must also complete the NSOR (National Sex Offender Registry) Verification.
  • Active Mandated Reporting Certificate (Act 31).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct 1:1 behavioral health intervention to individuals between the ages of 2 to 21.
  • Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a Behavior Consultant (BC) and Assistant-Behavior Consultant (A-BC).
  • Deliver interventions focused on social skills, life skills, and adaptive functioning to transfer skills proactively to clients and caregivers.
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of behavioral health.
  • Comply with IBHS regulations and MCO guidelines.
  • Work on targeted treatment goals outlined in Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP).
  • Engage in direct client interaction.
  • Conduct necessary paperwork daily.
  • Submit weekly reports to the office for review.
