About The Position

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you are the heartbeat of our inpatient program. You provide the daily structure, safety, and support necessary for our clients to navigate the early stages of recovery. This role requires a unique balance of firm boundary-setting and genuine empathy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Valid California RADT, or open to getting certified within 90 days upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least 5 years.
• Ability to pass comprehensive pre-employment background checks and health screenings.
• Maintain a healthy, therapeutic rapport with clients while strictly adhering to ethical boundaries.
• Enforce program rules and protocols with consistency and patience.
• Encourage self-help concepts and peer-to-peer problem-solving.
• Handle sensitive client information with absolute confidentiality (HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular facility walkthroughs and room checks to ensure a secure, drug-free environment.
• Observe and record client behaviors in electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and objectivity.
• Facilitate seamless admissions, discharges, and orientations for new residents.
• Provide immediate de-escalation and crisis intervention using approved therapeutic techniques.
• Escort clients to off-site appointments; administer supervised toxicology screenings.
