About The Position

The Care Coordinator at Roots Adolescent Renewal Ranch supports adolescent females ages 13–17 in a 90-day residential dual diagnosis program. This role involves supervising daily activities, ensuring safety, assisting with therapeutic and recreational programming, teaching life skills, and maintaining a supportive, healing environment. Ideal candidates are compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping teens achieve lasting recovery and growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate to patients dealing with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Flexibility in work hours and demonstrate consistency and dependability.
  • A passion to see individuals who deal with mental health and substance use disorders experience healing, life change, and purposeful living and believe that change can happen under the conditions defined in the Roots Adolescent Renewal Ranch vision statement, mission statement and core values.
  • Good physical health and emotional maturity.
  • Able to uphold the Roots Adolescent Renewal Ranch vision statement, mission statement and core values.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the supervision of clients in their daily activities.
  • Ensure that the clients follow the clinical schedule and communicate any issues to the treatment team.
  • Make continuous rounds of the facility, rooms, and grounds, to ensure overall safety.
  • Seek out contraband and report any suspicions or findings immediately to supervisor.
  • Be proactive in ensuring that the rules of the facility and the rights of the patient are being upheld.
  • Communicate and/or resolve issues with housekeeping duties, and upkeep of buildings and grounds.
  • Assist program staff members with recreation, art, music and adventure-based activities.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing client community as a therapeutic milieu.
  • Assist in de-escalation and management of crises and perform CPR and basic first aid as needed.
  • Document pertinent clinical information into electronic client records.
  • Ensure that a welcoming, safe and healing environment is maintained for each patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
  • Supervise and provide life skill training to include, but not limited to, personal hygiene, washing/folding clothes, bed making, ironing clothes, choosing outfits appropriate for occasions and seasons, setting a dinner table, table manners, etc. as directed by the Program Director.
  • Foster a supportive environment for clients that follows ethical treatment.
  • Promote a favorable/positive work atmosphere that is based on a team mentality.
