About The Position

improve behavioral health, one patient at a time. We provide psychiatric care to
adult patients who require inpatient hospitalization related to mental health.

A Behavioral Health Tech / Mental Health Tech helps provide care for patients
who have mental health issues. The Behavioral Health Tech shall be under the
immediate supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting providers (physicians,
nurse practitioners, and physician assistants) in provision of patient care. The
duties of the Behavioral Health Tech shall be in keeping with accepted standards
for the state employed and the rules and regulations of the Hospital.

Center for Behavioral Health Osage Beach is an 18-bed inpatient, free standing
Adult Psychiatric hospital that specializes in treating Anxiety, Major
Depression, Mood disturbances, Psychosis, and other illnesses related to mental
health.

Center for Behavioral Health Osage Beach:  Mission Statement

The Center for Behavioral Health Osage Beach will operate a “state of the
industry” treatment facility that provides specialized treatment services
designed to continually improve in quality and cost effectiveness. Patient care
services will be provided by a multidisciplinary treatment team of professionals
utilizing current, research-based, Best Practice protocols designed to achieve
maximum therapeutic benefit for each patient entrusted to its care.

Inpatient Acute Care at Center for Behavioral Health Osage Beach is designed to
meet needs of individuals in crisis. The mission of our facility is to provide
quality services that consistently meet and exceed the expectations of patients,
families, referral sources, payers, and partners. Inpatient services are offered
for individuals 18 and older who meet inpatient criteria.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS and CPI certificate within 30 days of employment
• One (1) year experience in acute behavioral health setting preferred.

Nice To Haves

• CNA preferred.
• Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform related duties as assigned by RN.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient care areas, equipment, and supplies.
• Interact with patients on an individual and group basis.
• Conduct groups with adult populations.
• Maintain compliance with staff training.
• Ensure health and safety of all patients by observing mental and physical condition of patients on each shift.
