About The Position

This role is for a Behavioral Health Tech in the Adult Psych Nursing Unit at Via Christi St. Joseph's in Wichita, Kansas. The position is full-time with day shifts. Associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through an academic partnership with Wichita State University. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral health patient care.
• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
• Report any changes in condition and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.
