About The Position

Southwest Behavioral Health Services is seeking motivated individuals to fill a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) position within their residential programs. As a Direct Care Provider (BHT), you will be responsible for providing a range of services to seriously mentally ill consumers in a residential setting. This includes screening, assessment, treatment planning, life skills training, pre-vocational training, documentation, case management, crisis intervention, and individual/group counseling. A key aspect of this role is contributing to and fostering a recovery-based environment.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 22 years.
• A High School Diploma/GED and six months of full-time Behavioral Health experience/integrated health experience.
• OR A related Associate’s degree and six weeks of full-time Behavioral Health/integrated health experience.
• OR A non-related Associate's degree and one year of full-time behavioral health/integrated health experience.
• OR A related bachelor’s degree.
• OR A non-related bachelor's degree plus six months of relevant experience in behavioral health.
• MVR clearance required.
• Fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligibility to receive upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide screening, assessment, and treatment planning for seriously mentally ill consumers.
• Offer life skills and pre-vocational training.
• Perform related documentation.
• Conduct case management.
• Deliver crisis intervention services.
• Provide individual and/or group counseling.
• Contribute to and create a recovery-based environment.
