About The Position

This position is for our outpatient clinic at Texas Health Plano. The Behavioral Health Support role is responsible for the usage of basic office equipment, knowledge of business applications software, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will exhibit a pleasant, professional demeanor, possess critical thinking skills, and maintain professionalism in a highly stressful and emotional environment. Exceptional customer service and empathy are crucial when interacting with patients and their support people during significant life events.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
One-year office experience preferred

Responsibilities

Usage of basic office equipment (e.g. fax machines, copy machines, phones).
Knowledge and understanding of various business applications software (e.g. Microsoft Word/Excel/SharePoint)
Good verbal and written communication skills to include telephone skills
Exhibits a pleasant, professional, polished presence exhibiting the ability to troubleshoot utilizing critical thinking skills
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a highly stressful and emotional environment, to include behavioral health patients
Must be able to exhibit a high level of empathy with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and support people during life-changing events, while demonstrating exceptional customer service skills
Other duties as assigned.
