About The Position

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center (ABTC) is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians. This role involves working one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them develop essential skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABTC provides comprehensive paid training, clinical support, and mentorship, making it suitable for those beginning their careers or seeking hands-on experience. ABA is an evidence-based approach that focuses on teaching communication, social, play, coping, and daily living skills, while also addressing challenging behaviors through positive reinforcement and individualized strategies. The goal is to foster greater independence in the children's everyday lives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Available a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration
• Willing to travel up to 25 miles from your home for client sessions
• Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
• Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience working with children is a plus
• Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills
• Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies
• Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress
• Communicate professionally with families and caregivers
• Attend ongoing training and team meetings
