About The Position

The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) provides client supervision and care as part of the treatment team. The role supervises and facilitates the daily milieu of assigned programs and services, including activities of daily living, educational and community/recovery groups, and activity therapy. The BHS reads and implements client treatment plans and provides positive cues and redirection.

The position is full-time and located in Los Altos, Tucson, Arizona. The stated schedule is Sunday through Tuesday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is a safety-sensitive position, subject to the employer’s drug- and alcohol-free workplace policy.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a valid Arizona driver’s license and a clean or acceptable driving record.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Minimum qualification: High school diploma or GED; no experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree; no experience is necessary.
• Associate degree plus one year of behavioral health work experience.
• High school diploma or GED, Peer Support Specialist certification, and two years of behavioral health work experience.
• High school diploma or GED plus behavioral health work experience. The posting states “four (3) years,” which is inconsistent.

Responsibilities
