About The Position

This role is responsible for securing the healing environment by conducting proactive patrols and monitoring campus activity to identify and de-escalate potential risks before they impact patient care. The officer will lead emergency response by executing rapid-response protocols for security incidents and alarms, serving as a grounded leader for staff and visitors during critical situations. Additionally, the role involves championing safety education by mentoring and training hospital staff on emergency preparedness and "Environment of Care" standards, and investigating and solving security issues by documenting security narratives with precision to resolve hazards and continuously improve facility safety.

Requirements

• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Law Enforcement preferred.
• Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc preferred.
• Security Professional preferred.
• Security Guard preferred.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in a security or Behavioral Health role, preferably within a healthcare or high-traffic service environment.
