Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • BLS (CPR & AED) Certified required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Good direct and telephone communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team setting.
  • Leadership ability for program management, growth, and development within the Center and the Community.
  • Communication/interpersonal skills to interact courteously and professionally with associates and customers of various ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to interact effectively with various community agencies and resources.
  • Coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Three to six months of related experience preferred.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
  • Familiarity with BH preferred.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange language line interpretation services to ensure effective communication.
  • Sort or dispense mail/faxes and assist with administrative duties.
  • Support new patients with the registration process and follow up on incomplete intake forms.
  • Manage EHR and continuity of care lists for optimal patient access.
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments to ensure efficient provider schedules.
  • Maintain a waitlist for Behavioral Health Services and fill open slots promptly.
  • Process and follow up on internal service orders, including psychological testing referrals.
  • Obtain and enter vital signs into EHRS in a timely manner.
  • Screen new patients and complete risk assessments as needed.
  • Translate for monolingual providers when necessary.
  • Attend mandatory all-staff meetings and participate in safety training programs.
  • Make reminder calls to unconfirmed patients to ensure appointment compliance.
  • Process psychological testing prior authorizations for insurance coverage.
  • Provide data entry, general office duties, and administrative support.
  • Complete medication prior authorizations as requested by insurance.
  • Assist with triaging behavioral health emergencies in the clinic.
  • Handle blood draws, injections, EKGs, and drug screens as necessary.
  • Process lab service orders in EMR for lab or patient service center.
  • Travel to other locations for clinic/site coverage as needed.
  • Promote effective teamwork and maintain a professional environment.
  • Ensure safety by reporting concerns and following control measures.
