About The Position

Behavioral Health Professional assist adults with behavioral health concerns, living in the community, develop independent living skills and self-help skills by providing ongoing instruction/training, guidance, and modeling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• Two (2) years’ experience providing services to individuals with serious emotional disturbances OR certified in an Evidence Based Practice.
• Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy and dependable transportation.
• Functional knowledge of basic computer applications (i.e. word-processing, e-mail).
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed.
• Demonstrate patience, understanding, sensitivity and respect to children and families including regarding cultural/value/lifestyle differences.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and effective communication.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of community crisis resources and response services.
• Experience in collaboration within a community System of Care.
• Experience supporting individuals in education and employment.
