About The Position

FHE Health is seeking a Florida-licensed Registered Nurse passionate about supporting people with behavioral health and substance use disorder challenges. The nurse provides care in a behavioral healthcare setting, carrying out prescribed treatments and medical interventions, observing patients, documenting medical histories and current symptoms, and providing pain management during initial detoxification. This is a full-time night-shift position scheduled Friday through Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Experience working in a behavioral health, addiction, and/or substance abuse setting.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with at least an Associate Degree.
• Current Florida State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge of drug classifications and respective medication protocols.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proof of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training or willingness to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in IV and phlebotomy.
• Knowledge of KIPU.

Responsibilities

• Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions.
• Transcribe and administer routine and prescribed medications in accordance with procedures established by the Medical Director and Director of Nursing.
• Perform vigilant observation of patients.
• Document patients’ medical histories and current symptoms.
• Provide pain management treatment during the initial detoxification process.
