This position works directly with case managers, psychiatrist/psychiatric providers, and other mental health professionals to provide mental health services to individuals throughout Juneau County. The Behavioral Health Nurse completes nursing assessments and evaluations, administers medications, provides psychiatric nursing assessments of medical needs, evaluates service recipients for progress and medication efficacy, and provides medication management. This role also involves educating service recipients and family members about medications and mental illness, triaging concerns, maintaining electronic medical records, and coordinating with physicians and other healthcare providers. The nurse will also review and formulate treatment plans, manage infection control, and ensure clinic safety protocols are followed.
