About The Position

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) in Kirksville, MO at the Crisis Center. This is a Part-Time role, specifically working Saturdays. The position involves providing essential nursing care to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges and substance use disorders. The nurse will work with a collaborative team to deliver integrated, whole-person care across crisis stabilization, residential services, outpatient psychiatry, and recovery support.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active LPN or RN license in Missouri
• Strong documentation and EHR skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to interpret medical information and lab results
• Commitment to confidential, compassionate care

• Experience in behavioral health or substance use care

Responsibilities

• Administer medications (oral, injectable, and self-administered)
• Conduct physical and mental health assessments
• Complete psychiatric screenings and documentation
• Monitor medication inventory and coordinate refills
• Collaborate with providers and communicate medication needs
• Assist with lab work and phlebotomy
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in the EHR
• Support infection control and hygiene practices
• Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary care planning
