About The Position

Advanced Recovery Systems is a physician-led behavioral healthcare company focused on providing evidence-based care for addiction and mental health conditions. The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center offering a continuum of care for substance use disorders. This role is crucial in providing direct care and support to patients in a residential behavioral health setting, ensuring accurate medication administration, patient safety, and collaboration with clinical teams to promote recovery and well-being.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • QMA Certification required.
  • CPR and Standard First Aid certification.
  • Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services in roles with emphasis involving direct customer or client service experience, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately read and understand medication orders.
  • Monitor and document patient self-administration of medications.
  • Ensure proper retrieval, storage, and disposal of medications.
  • Observe patient behaviors and report concerns to the treatment team.
  • Assist with various treatment-related activities.
  • Promote safety, recovery, and engagement.
  • Facilitate daily routines.
  • Collaborate with clinical and nursing teams.
  • Obtain and record patient vitals.
  • Perform patient safety checks, room checks, and shift hand-offs.
  • Support the admission process, including belongings searches, documentation, and orientation.
  • Monitor and engage patients during meals, groups, recreational activities, and community interactions.
  • Assist nursing staff with vitals, breathalyzers, urine drug screens, pulse oximetry, and other competency-based procedures.
  • Observe and report changes in patient behavior, mood, or safety concerns.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and implement de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Maintain infection control, hand hygiene, and biohazard safety standards.
  • Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and case management staff to reinforce treatment goals and individualized care plans.
  • Model professionalism, boundaries, and recovery-focused behaviors.
