The Behavioral Health Substance Use Disorder Care Team Specialist (SUD CTS) works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of addiction medicine physicians and advanced practice providers, certified substance abuse counselors, registered nurses, and other staff to coordinate, support and deliver evidence-based, high-quality substance use disorder treatment to patients. The SUD CTS performs clinical, administrative and technical tasks which contribute to the smooth workflow and quality patient care experience in the Substance Use Disorder program. The SUD CTS assists and collaborates with providers and staff within the Substance Use Disorder program, Primary Care, and Behavioral Health in the management and coordination of patient care. CTS staff at GHC-SCW will have successfully completed medical assistant training or licensed practical nurse training from an accredited program. The SUD CTS may provide cross coverage to behavioral health or primary care departments dependent on staffing and patient care needs.
