About The Position

The Behavioral Health Manager (LISW-S or equivalent) provides clinical leadership for K.E.L.L.Y. Youth Services’ behavioral health program serving youth in residential settings. This role supervises QBHS and other clinical staff, supports high-quality trauma-informed service delivery, and ensures timely, accurate clinical documentation. K.E.L.L.Y. Youth Services, Inc. also known as KYS is an Ohio 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation licensed to operate group home and independent living arrangements in Hamilton County, Ohio. KYS facilities range from 4-12 beds. We specialize in 24-hour private non-custodial group homes and independent living programs that foster and empower living and learning for youth aged 9 to 21 years old. Our residential setting programs develop individuals from substitute care to independently living responsible adults. K. E. L. L. Y. Youth Services Inc. continuously strives to provide trauma informed care while aiming to provide outstanding quality services for our clients and their families.

Requirements

  • Active LISW-S license (or equivalent) in Ohio.
  • Trauma-Informed Care certification required; TF-CBT preferred (KYS will sponsor training).
  • 5+ years of behavioral health/clinical leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and EHR workflows (SimplePractice preferred).
  • Strong leadership, training, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work independently with confidence and initiative.
  • 21+ with a valid driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of required criminal background checks (BCI/FBI).
  • Successful completion of required child welfare and sex offender database searches (including SACWIS/Alleged Perpetrator Search and DOJ sex offender search).

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to Qualified Behavioral Health Specialists (QBHS) in accordance with agency standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions and performance evaluations.
  • Support staff development and promote clinical excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based, trauma-informed clinical practices (TF-CBT preferred when clinically indicated).
  • Oversee trauma-informed training for clinical and direct care staff.
  • Promote trauma-sensitive practices across all levels of care.
  • Oversee diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, therapy services, and crisis intervention.
  • Ensure services are developmentally appropriate and individualized.
  • Monitor service quality, consistency, and effectiveness.
  • Ensure clinical documentation supports treatment planning, service delivery, continuity of care, and appropriate clinical decision-making.
  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation in the agency’s EHR (SimplePractice), including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical summaries as applicable.
  • Conduct or support routine clinical record reviews and documentation coaching to promote consistency and quality across the clinical department.
  • Support family-centered care through involvement in treatment planning and discharge.
  • Collaborate with providers, case workers, and community partners.
  • Partner with leadership to enhance clinical programming.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous quality improvement.
  • Provide consultation during clinical emergencies.
  • Support sound clinical judgment and professional decision-making in complex situations.
