About The Position

Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Intake Supervisor for the Patient Access Admitting department in Hoffman Estates, IL. This full-time, day shift position involves supervising the daily activities of clinical intake staff, coordinating staffing, managing bed assignments, and overseeing the patient transfer/admission process. The role also includes providing leadership, training, and mentoring to intake staff, assisting with performance evaluations, and handling disciplinary actions. Additionally, the supervisor will provide direct admissions and intake services, contribute to data analysis for performance improvement, and monitor departmental compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation preferred.
  • Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation preferred.
  • Social Worker credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • A master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required.
  • License preferred but not required.
  • BH experience specifically with previous lead or supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities of the clinical intake staff.
  • Coordinate daily intake staffing assignments and staffing levels.
  • Manage bed assignments and supervise the timeliness of patient transfers/admission process.
  • Provide leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to intake staff.
  • Provide input into performance evaluations and handle disciplinary actions.
  • Provide admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
  • Assist with compilation, generation and analysis of data for results reporting and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor departmental compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
