About The Position
This role is for a Behavioral Health Counselor at Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health, specifically within the Adult Mood Disorder department. The position is full-time, working day shifts. The counselor will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, establishing therapy treatment goals, administering individual and group therapy, evaluating the progress and effectiveness of interventions, and providing patients with information about community resources and therapeutic activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required.
Nice To Haves
- Masters in social work, counseling, psychology.
- LSW/LPC license preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
- Administer individual and group therapy.
- Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
- Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
