About The Position

This role involves providing clinical services and assessments within an Outpatient, Crisis, or Residential facility. The counselor will engage in clinical interactions demonstrating sound judgment appropriate to client functioning and agency standards. A key responsibility is maintaining accurate, substantive, and timely documentation that adheres to best practices and regulatory requirements. The position also requires integrating referral information into assessments, gathering collateral information as needed, and collaborating with the program manager on site and supervision protocols. The counselor will assess and determine client levels of care, including decisions on admission, transfer, discharge, and step-up care. A minimum of 25 billable service hours is expected within a 40-hour work week.

Requirements

• A Masters degree in counseling or social work is required.
• Active independent licensure in the state of Ohio (LPCC or LISW).
• Basic computer literacy to include experience in the use of word processing (ex. Microsoft Word).

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Previous experience with electronic health records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services/assessment services within Outpatient, Crisis or Residential facility.
• Ability to provide clinical interactions which reflect competency, demonstrate clinical judgments which are appropriate to client’s functioning and agency’s risk tolerance standards.
• Deliver accurate, substantive and timely documentation which meets best practice guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Integrate all relevant referral information into the assessment process, and acquire additional collateral information as needed.
• Collaborate with the program manager to determine and designate site and supervision protocols, and assess and determine client level of care changes (decisions related to admission, transfer/discharge, and step-up).
• Provide a minimum of 25 hours of billable services based on a 40-hour work week.
