About The Position
St. Peter's Addiction Recovery Center (SPARC) Guilderland, an affiliate of St. Peter's Health Partners, is seeking a skilled, client-centered professional for a full-time Behavioral Health Counselor III position. This role involves providing comprehensive services for individuals and families affected by drug or alcohol abuse with respect and compassion. The Guilderland Clinic is looking for someone with 2-3 years of experience in an addiction or behavioral-related field, skilled in planning and leading addiction group therapy and individual treatment sessions.
Requirements
- Associate's degree and CASAC-T certification is Required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in an addiction or behavioral related field with skills in planning, leading addiction group therapy, and individual treatment sessions.
- Strong writing and communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of working with community agencies and managed care representatives is desired.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with a diverse population and a strong understanding of multicultural issues is preferred.
