About The Position
The Behavioral Health CNA performs basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. This role involves following a treatment plan designed to meet the needs and abilities of each resident/patient, including assisting with meals and nourishments, transferring using proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices, ambulation, bathing, toileting, and dressing and grooming. This position is located on a 50-bed state-of-the-art Behavioral Health/Acute Psych Unit.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut certification as a nurse's aide - C.N.A.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Follows treatment plan designed to meet the appropriate age, needs and abilities of each resident/patient.
- Assists with meals and nourishments.
- Assists with transferring using proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices.
- Assists with ambulation.
- Assists with bathing, toileting, and dressing and grooming.
