This position is responsible for utilizing resources to meet patient care needs by collaborating with appropriate guardians and community agencies. The clinician will assess patients' problems, needs, and level of functioning, and write appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation. They will provide various treatment modalities and theoretical applications based on current clinical standards, assisting individuals, groups, and families through the counseling relationship. This includes evaluating and treating mental disorders and other conditions using psychotherapeutic techniques and human development principles, establishing and conducting appropriate interventions/treatment, and writing appropriate discharge plans. The role also involves providing patient care according to established policies/procedures and professional standards, designing, planning, and implementing effective patient education, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to identified needs, and managing clients in crisis. Accurate and consistent documentation of patient care/response in the medical record is essential, as is presenting cases in clinical team meetings and coordinating discharge planning with the next provider.
