Behavioral Health Clinician
About The Position
The Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team in CBI Crisis, Inpatient, and Transition Point programs. The clinician coordinates with Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Behavioral Health Medical Providers (BHMPs) to help ensure a safe environment and provide quality care to individuals seeking services. The BHC completes behavioral health assessments and service plans for individuals admitted to their assigned program, documents services provided, coordinates discharges, and coordinates care with family members or other significant people in patients’ lives. Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency operating programs throughout Arizona. Its services include residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services for people experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. CBI provides substance use and behavioral health prevention, education, and treatment using evidence-based models.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a field related to behavioral health is required; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of full-time healthcare-related work experience providing adequate exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Patient Care Technicians, Registered Nurses, and Behavioral Health Medical Providers to help ensure a safe environment and quality care.
- Complete behavioral health assessments and service plans for individuals admitted to the assigned program.
- Document services provided.
- Coordinate discharges from CBI programs.
- Coordinate care with patients’ families or other significant people in their lives.
