About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Clinician, internally known as Clinical Specialist, to join their VA REACH team in Staunton, VA. This role involves providing clinical and administrative support to the REACH Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH) and assisting the mobile team. The clinician will conduct assessments, deliver crisis prevention and intervention services, and support Behavior Technicians while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for clients. This position also involves modifying therapeutic groups, developing therapeutic activities, providing virtual oversight of assessments, offering QMHP-T supervision to Behavior Techs, and participating in the residential on-call rotation. The role is designed for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of those with mental health challenges and intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Requirements

  • Master's in health, psychology or social work from USDOE or CHEA accredited institution.
  • Licensed or License-eligible as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience with developmental disabilities and mental health populations.
  • Experience with crisis prevention and intervention services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative support to the REACH Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH).
  • Assist the mobile team as needed.
  • Conduct assessments and reassessments.
  • Deliver crisis prevention and intervention services.
  • Support Behavior Technicians on the floor while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for up to six guests.
  • Assist the CTH Supervisor in developing and maintaining clinical and therapeutic integrity to daily programming.
  • Modify therapeutic groups and develop therapeutic activities.
  • Provide support to leadership through virtual oversight of assessments as needed.
  • Provide QMHP-T supervision to Behavior Techs.
  • Participate in the residential on-call rotation.
