The Behavioral Health Clinician will utilize resources to meet patient care needs by collaborating with appropriate guardians and community agencies. This role involves assessing patients' problems, needs, and level of functioning, and writing appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation. The clinician will provide various treatment modalities and theoretical applications based on current clinical standards, assisting individuals, groups, and families through the counseling relationship. This includes evaluating and treating mental disorders and other conditions using a combination of psychotherapeutic techniques and human development principles. The position requires establishing and conducting appropriate interventions/treatment, writing appropriate discharge plans based on individual needs, and following through with the termination process. Patient care will be provided according to established policies/procedures and professional standards of care, including designing, planning, and implementing effective patient education. The clinician will develop, implement, and evaluate patient care according to identified needs and manage clients in crisis, ensuring accurate and consistent documentation of patient care/response in the medical record. Cases will be presented in clinical team meetings in a clear, concise, and clinically relevant manner, with all documentation completed within facility-established timeframes. Coordination of discharge planning and plan of care with the next provider is also a key responsibility.
