This position is responsible for providing quality treatment to patients within Behavioral Health Services. The role involves providing individual and group therapy to patients with various mental health and co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities include completing initial assessments, counseling, group therapy, case presentations to the treatment team, treatment planning, and aftercare planning. Clinicians are also responsible for identifying the need for medication evaluations and making referrals to on-site providers. The role requires completing all documentation and paperwork specific to the department and in compliance with hospital requirements, Department of Mental Health (DMH), Bureau Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), The Joint Commission, and insurance providers. The position also involves managing a caseload which may include consultations, collateral contact, and following up with patients on missed appointments. Additionally, the clinician is expected to work towards or maintain the highest level of professional licensure and necessary credentialing for the specific role. Standard staffing level responsibilities include complying with departmental policies, attending meetings, demonstrating quality improvement, adhering to safety regulations, respecting diverse views, maintaining reliable attendance, and performing other related duties as required.
