About The Position

Provides individual, group, conjoint or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their family. Conducts clinical assessments, develops diagnoses, and participates in developing person/family centered treatment plans with client families. Monitors client progress and coordinates appropriate behavioral health and other needed services. Responsible for meeting all MDCH requirements for Home-based hours (minimum 4 hours per family per month). Maintains an electronic and paper chart which includes required documentation of services provided, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews and client rights documents. Participates in individual supervision and team meetings to review progress, identify barriers and develop strategies for better assisting families in reaching their goals.

Requirements

  • Must have a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Must be a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Michigan.
  • Experience providing psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their families.
  • Knowledge of clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Familiarity with MDCH requirements for home-based services.
  • Proficiency in maintaining electronic and paper charts and documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Arabic) are a plus.
