The position will provide behavioral health evaluations, acute therapy, and support services for students in Jefferson’s Student Counseling Center. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Provides comprehensive assessment, interventions, individual therapy, group therapy and other psychosocial treatment modalities. • Provides effective treatment planning and assists patients in successfully achieving goals. • Participates in outreach, wellness, and psychoeducational programming to the campus community. • Establish community connection and offer resources/referrals to students • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES: • Maintains a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality within the Department • Maintains working knowledge of best practices in the field of college mental health • Works collaboratively with Student Counseling Center staff and campus partners, documents accurately within the medical record of patients as well as other forms to meet city, state and federal regulatory requirements • Completes all records within the electronic health record system (Point and Click) • Prioritizes and maintains assigned cases to ensure appropriate services are provided to patients • Provide psychoeducation to students on how to navigate health systems • Attends assigned meetings at all levels within the organization • Create community referral options for the Student Counseling Center • Facilitates outreach events as needed • Other duties as assigned INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS: Faculty, administrators, staff, students, local hospital, mental health professionals, and other service providers.
