About The Position

Provide leadership to clinic and provide psychosocial assessment, counseling, treatment to patients directly.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work OR Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling OR Addictions Counseling from an accredited institution of higher education, including an internship meeting professional standards.
  • Must be able to demonstrate that he or she has provided psychological services, on an inpatient, outpatient or consultative basis in the past 12 months.
  • Licensed at the time of hire as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) OR Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), or Master’s Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (MLADC) in New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership at the assigned clinic and site on all day-to-day issues/concerns.
  • Serves as the site lead to ensure that the site and clinic can operate independently by addressing immediate operational needs that are time sensitive.
  • Coordinates with program leadership to ensure operational continuity between all care sites.
  • Assists with the development, design, and training of mental health programs and program administration.
  • Evaluates patients struggling with an SUD utilizing ASAM criteria and thorough biopsychosocial assessment and refers patients to the appropriate level of care.
  • Collaborates with providers and other individuals outside of the agency involved in the patient's care.
  • Offers group, individual, and family therapy. Delivers evidence-based treatment such as Motivational Enhancement, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness in Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and individual settings.
  • Refers patients in need of medication for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions to medical staff.
  • Documents pertinent clinical data in a professional and timely manner.
  • Participates in clinical meetings for care coordination.
  • Communicates with multidisciplinary staff in a collaborative manner.
  • Provides formal and informal teaching to learners of various disciplines and stages of training.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
