About The Position

The Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) is an outpatient mental health provider that supports various mental health programs across the continuum of care at Children's MN. The BHC regularly collaborates with team members on the continuum to provide timely care. The BHC is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention services, resource mobilization, brief therapeutic intervention, as well as identifying and connecting patients/families with community-based services. The BHC may also carry a caseload of patients for regular follow up care.

Requirements

Must have LGSW and complete independent licensure within 3 years of employment
Hiring contingent upon available individual and group supervision availability at Children's MN
BLS required
Master's degree in social work, counseling, or marriage & family therapy
Demonstrated experience providing crisis intervention
Two years of experience in counseling in a health care-related setting, or two years' experience in a pediatric-related setting, or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings
Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinic environment
Strong clinical skills with ability to exercise independent judgment, work autonomously, and exhibit high degree of professionalism
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clinically skilled in working with kids ages 3-20, as well as working with parents
